This past Monday, employees returned from their holidays to a brand-new workplace. The state-of-the-art facility will now be home for the charger production and the service department, along with other key functions. Battery production and the remaining operations currently located in Växjö will be relocated during Stages 2 and 3 in 2024-2025.
To celebrate this milestone, the Micropower employees walked the red carpet, mingled with colleagues, and received an inside look at the newly opened sections of the property.
Once fully completed, the new factory will span over 25,000 square meters. It will house Micropower’s production of Lithium-ion batteries, battery chargers, and power converters. The site will also feature a new Research and Development center dedicated to battery and charging systems, as well as office space for several key functions within the group.
