We continuously enhance our products to improve energy efficiency and help our customers significantly reduce power consumption during operation.

Environmental Sustainability
Micropower design and develop sustainable, efficient, and safe products.
Smarter Products, Lower Energy Use
CO₂ Impact
For Micropower sustainability means to recognize and take responsibility for both the positive and negative environmental and coming from our business.
As part of the electrification, our positive impact is to provide efficient and optimized battery systems that creates value for our customers. We address the negative impact through long term targets that reduce or eliminate the impacts.
In 2021, Micropower committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2045. As part of this commitment, the company set an interim goal to achieve carbon neutrality in own operation by 2030 (Scope 1 & 2).

According to GHG protocol the CO₂ impact of Micropower is divided:
- Scope 1 - 0,01%
- Scope 2 - 0,05%
- Scope 3 - 99,94%

CSRD - Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive
The European Green Deal is the EU’s plan to build a modern, resource-efficient, and competitive economy, aiming for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. It promotes economic growth decoupled from resource use and strives for social inclusivity.
Micropower is impacted by several Green Deal initiatives, especially the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Micropower will begin CSRD-aligned reporting in 2025 and complete a double materiality analysis and reporting system setup in 2024.

New Battery Regulation
The EU Battery Regulation is a regulatory framework aimed at ensuring the sustainability, safety, and circularity of batteries throughout their lifecycle. It replaces the previous directive and introduces stricter requirements for battery design, production, recycling, and due diligence in supply chains.
The Regulation applies to Micropower and we have been working with the battery regulation for several years. Multiple functions are involved in interpreting the requirements and applying them to Micropower and our products.
Work is ongoing with Battery Passport and the specific CO₂ calculation requirement. Throughout the process, we consulted Intertek Sweden for regulatory requirement assessments.
