With a modern production facility in Ljungby, Sweden, Swepac ensures high-quality manufacturing and continuous innovation. The Challenge: Electrifying Heavy-Duty Compaction Equipment
Swepac embarked on its electrification journey several years ago, initially focusing on smaller single-direction vibratory plates with swappable battery solutions. As market demand for zero-emission and low-noise machinery increased, Swepac expanded its electrification efforts to larger reversible vibratory plates, which required higher energy capacity and permanently mounted battery packs to ensure sufficient runtime for demanding applications.

Additionally, Swepac developed its own inverter to enable seamless communication between the battery management system (BMS), the machine’s control unit, and the charging infrastructure. To achieve this, Swepac required a flexible and scalable battery system, a high-efficiency charger, and a technology partner capable of supporting the development of an integrated communication system across the system.

Implemented Solution
Swepac has successfully integrated Micropower’s Brix battery system into its latest range of battery-powered reversible vibratory plates. Currently, three models are on the market, with a fourth model launching soon.

The machines utilize 103Ah and 148Ah Brix battery modules, offering high energy density and optimized runtime. The modularity of the system enables rapid scalability, allowing Swepac to develop multiple machine variants with tailored battery pack configurations.
